Privacy Policy

The short version

Toolratio's calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type into a calculator are never sent to us, stored on a server, or logged anywhere — closing the tab clears them. We do not require an account, and we do not collect names, emails, or any personal information through the calculators themselves.

Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)

Toolratio may display ads served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners can use cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. This is standard interest-based advertising, and it's Google, not Toolratio, that sets and reads these cookies. Analytics (Google Analytics)

Toolratio does not currently use Google Analytics or any other analytics service. If we add one in the future, it would work similarly to AdSense's cookies: collecting anonymized, aggregate usage statistics (like which pages are visited and roughly how) rather than anything tied to your identity. This policy will be updated if that changes.

What we don't do

We don't ask for or store your name, email, or financial details. We don't sell data, because we don't collect any to sell. We don't require sign-up for any calculator on this site. The only information that ever reaches a server is the standard technical data any web server sees for any page request (like your browser type and IP address, via GitHub Pages hosting logs) and, if ads are shown, whatever Google's advertising cookies collect as described above.

Your choices and how to opt out

You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings — most browsers let you block third-party cookies entirely or clear existing ones. To opt out of personalized advertising specifically, visit Google Ads Settings, or the industry-wide opt-out pages at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU). Blocking these cookies won't affect your ability to use any calculator on this site — none of them depend on cookies to function.

Changes to this policy

If Toolratio starts using a new service that changes how data is collected (like adding Google Analytics), this page will be updated to reflect it, along with the "last updated" date above.
